Rottweilers stolen from the SPCA

The festive season ended on a sour note for the Springs SPCA.

Employees of the Springs SPCA arrived at a devastating discovery on December 10 and 11.

Someone had stolen four Rottweilers from their premises over the two days.

The dogs, at the centre of an animal cruelty case, were taken from the shelter of the SPCA.

Manager and inspector for the Springs SPCA Annecia Morton explains what happened.

“We spent over a year fighting for justice for these animals, only to have them stolen from our property.”

The thieves stole the dogs, starting with the male on the 10th and following with the three females on the 11th.

“These dogs would only go to people they are familiar with and we have reported our suspicions to the police when opening this case.”

We have offered a reward for anyone with information that leads to the safe return of the dogs or the identification of those responsible for their theft.
