Local beauty to host charity drive

Local Struisbult beauty Faith Chuma calls on the community to join hands in empowering the youth of Hope, Faith and Grace (HFG) Community Project.

Join local beauty, Faith Chuma, in empowering the youth at the Hope, Faith and Grace Community Project on November 25 by donating non-perishable foods and toys.

The purpose of the event is to raise funds, toiletries, and non-perishable foods for HFG, as they do not get funding from the government or any other place.

“They currently rely on community donations, and the money they make from thrifting is not enough for daily needs like rent, water, electricity, food, clothes and other items,” said Chuma.

She explains the day will be spent with residents of HFG, where speakers will retell their success stories and share motivational, life-changing conversations.

“The children will also recite poems, singing, and presenting all the donations received on the day.”

As a model passionate about young people, Chuma seeks to invest positively in the HFG young people for the future.

“I always wanted to advocate for young people from disadvantaged homes and areas.

“When the Addie’s journalist, Palesa Tsotetsi, told me about the organisation and after meeting the founder, I knew that was it,” said Chuma.

“I met with the children as well, and I knew it was not a mistake that I had the urge to reach out to Hope, Faith, and Grace.”

For more information, contact HFG founder, Kerry-Leigh Wright on 072 177 0483. The event will be from 12:00 to 15:00.

The Hope, Faith, and Grace Community Project is at 15 Achilles Road, Pollak Park.
