MachKnitz, Epilepsy SA form partnership

Local NPO MachKnitz aims to share its knitting passion with the residents of Epilepsy South Africa.

Local knitting club MachKnitz seeks to promote mindfulness through knitting and crocheting at Epilepsy South Africa branches in Springs.

In doing so, MachKnitz recently held a knitting demonstration class at Epilepsy Geduld. The demonstration offered the residents a machine knitting experience.

The club’s founder, Adri Grib, said although some residents do hand knitting, they aimed to empower them about the benefits of a different mode of knitting than what they were used to.

“Some of them do have knitting, but it is just to make them aware and empower them for the benefits of machine knitting,” said Grib.

She hopes the partnership between the two organisations will last a long time.
