Klipsop Kombuis broken into

The organisation serves to help the disadvantaged.

In the early hours of November 3, NPO Klipsop Kombuis was burgled.

The Geduld-based organisation serves the community and its surrounding areas as a soup kitchen and a charity shop.

A representative of Klipsop Kombuis, Leanne Haas, talked about the tragedy.

“They stole some cash, meat and other grocery items.

“We are fortunate that they couldn’t take out more stuff. They tried but couldn’t get the doors open.”

Leanne says even though this is heartbreaking, it serves to bring awareness of the extremely high crime levels in Geduld.

“It’s so disheartening you know but like I said to my mom, when the attacks intensify, you must know you’re doing something right.”

Anyone with information is urged to report it to the Springs SAPS as a case has been opened.
