Here is a look at what is going on in Springs.

• 28 Oktober
Die ATKV Damestak Springs hou ‘n fietswedren by Die Agterplaas in Cassledale op die dag. Kinders van een tot twee jaar, drie tot vier, vyf tot ses en sewe tot nege kan deelneem vir pryse.

Daar sal ook pannekoek beskikbaar wees en families kan piekniek hou saam met die Springs Voortrekkers en hul ondersteuning wys vir borskanker. Vir meer inligting of groep besprekings, kontak die organiseerders by 078 230 7806.

• November 5
Join the Springs Chamber of Commerce when they celebrate summer in style with their Rhythm by the River event. Bring the family and picnic hampers and relax on the rolling banks of the beautiful Blesbokspruit while listening to live music.

All you need are chairs, umbrellas and your meat. Braai areas and fires are provided. Children under 10 have free entry. The time is noon for 12:30. The venue is Plot 44, Newby Road, Grootvaly. For more information, contact Barbara-Ann Day on 082 450 1130.

• November 7
The Springs Senior Citizens Club will hold their final bingo of the year. The event will start at 10:00. The bingo will resume in February. The cost is R40 for eight games and includes refreshments. Cash prizes can be won. Everyone is welcome.

The Club is on 1a Seventh Street North, Springs CBD. For more details, contact Pauline Houghton on 011 811 0098. The events that take place every week.

• Meat World Springs hosts a food market every Saturday from 06:30 to 14:00. With this, Meat World Springs calls on all vendors to apply to participate. Email your name, ID number and the name and a photograph of the food product you wish to sell for consideration to marketing@meatworld.co.za or call 011 815 1494.

• The Springs Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday. Buy fresh, affordable produce, arts and crafts, delicious food and milk. The venue is Den Akker at President’s Park. It runs from 07:00 to 13:00.
