Here is a look at what is going on in Springs.

• 1 en 2 September

• September 8
The Springs Senior Citizens Club will host its AGM at 13:00. The venue is 1a Seventh Street, Springs CBD. All members must attend to ratify the proposed new constitution. The proposed constitution is available for viewing at the club’s premises. For more information contact Pauline on 011 811 0098 or email seniorcitizensprings@gmail.com.

• September 9
The 16th Ekurhuleni LGBTI Pride March will take place in Springs this year. The annual march brings together communities, families, NGOs, faith-based organisations, traditional leaders and healers, and the LGBTIQ+ community in and around Ekurhuleni.

• September 14
The Eastern Gauteng Chamber of Commerce and Industry will host its annual golf day. Enjoy a day of fun, fellowship and great networking opportunities with like-minded business associates at the Pollak Park golf course. • September 22 and 25
The Ekurhuleni Community Action team calls on local businesses to participate in a clean-up on September 22. This is a special request for all businesses to dedicate two hours to clean up different parts of Springs.

Another clean-up will take place on September 25. Both programmes start at 07:00. To volunteer as a street coordinator or as clean-up volunteer for the big day, here are three ways to participate:

The events that take place every week.

• Meat World Springs hosts a food market every Saturday from 06:30 to 14:00. With this, Meat World Springs is calling on all vendors to apply to participate. Send your name, ID number and the name and a photograph of the food product you wish to sell for consideration to marketing@meatworld.co.za or call 011 815 1494.

• The Springs Farmers’ Market runs every Saturday. Buy fresh, affordable produce, arts and crafts, delicious food and milk. The venue is Den Akker at President’s Park and it runs from 07:00 to 13:00.
