Klipsop Kombuis is an NPO dedicated to helping those in Springs.

The ladies from Mpact Springs Paper Mill, Kathleen Mngomezulu from Klipsop Kombuis and Leanne Haas from Liberty Kingdom Helpers, joined hands to bring some joy to the hearts of the women in Geduld.

This was in celebration of Women’s Month, The ladies from Mpact Women’s Forum worked tirelessly to make 184 rice meal hampers to hand out to the ladies.

Klipsop Kombuis, which is an NPO, supplied delicious and wholesome soup and rolls to the women who attended the function.

“We were able to give the children some yoghurt and fruit, which was sponsored by Pick ‘n Pay Springs Gate.

“We also offered the ladies some words of encouragement, as many of them are faced with very difficult circumstances in the poverty and unemployment-stricken Geduld,” mentioned Kathleen.

The Klipsop Kombuis team vows to continue to spread some positivity as they give soup and bread on a daily basis to various people in and around Springs area.

“These are namely the Springs and Kwa-Thema Child Welfare, Never Never Squatter Camp, Walwyn Court in Geluksdal for the elderly as donations allow.”

Kathleen said she hopes this collaboration won’t be a one-time event.

“We all know that hunger is an ongoing problem that can only be alleviated if we all join hands,” she said.

The women received delicious rolls and soup as they were being motivated by the different organisations.

Leanne said they will also continue to have monthly meetings at their premises to inspire and encourage the women of Geduld.

“We want them to never give up and to continue to strive to better their circumstances. It begins by changing your mindset,” she said.

Hlengiwe has also vowed that as the Mpact Women’s Forum, they will try their best to look at ways to help the ladies in the Springs area to alleviate hunger and assist with other development initiatives.

“We also thank Springbok SPAR and Casa Nossa for their donations. You contributed to making the day extra special for us,” she added.
