Young crocheter fueled to do good like her grandmother

Rosalie has been inspired by her grandmother.

Rosalie de Lange is a crocheting wonder.

At age seven, this young girl from Selection Park has already started following in her grandmother’s footsteps.

“She began crocheting at the beginning of the school holidays,” said her mother, Candice.

Rosalie credits her grandmother who inspired her.

“I would watch my granny crochet when she was making blankets for others. I found it interesting, so I wanted to try,” she said.

This learner from Stepping Stones has already completed her first square.

“I will make a blanket once all my squares are finished,” exclaimed Rosalie.

When she is not at school or crocheting, Rosalie gets busy with her other passions.

“I want to be a baker when I grow up,” she affirmed.

She loves getting involved with baking projects and arts and crafts. She says she is proud of herself for being one of the youngest people to start crocheting.

“I feel excited for having accomplished something so awesome,” declared Rosalie.

Her parents, Candice and Theo, are beaming as they express their pride for their daughter.

“As parents, we are blessed by a loving and caring daughter. Her name says it all – she is our little rose. We are very proud of what she has accomplished.

“We support her when she wants to learn new things.”

Rosalie can be found crocheting with her grandmother, Debbie Grange, at home or Turning Point Ministries in Nuffield.
