George Sutter Park gets a new look for Mandela Day

Plastic Bubbles and other businesses endeavour to return the once-beloved park back to its former beauty.

A local business Plastic Bubbles in collaboration with other businesses and residents, gathered to clean up George Sutter Park in Selection Park for Mandela Day.

The event started early in the morning and carried on into the day as the park was cleaned and restored by those who attended.

Individuals and businesses came in groups to fulfil their 67 Minutes and ended up leaving with a sense of community and pride.

There was a sense of community as people gathered from all over Springs to restore the park.

Cassandra Mouton, the marketing manager for Plastic Bubbles, said the day could not have gone well without the help of everyone who decided to take part in the initiative.

“We at Plastic Bubbles thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts who participated in this feel-good initiative at George Sutter Park. This proves that there is still good in the world and as a community, we can achieve anything.

“A very special thanks to AfriForum, Vulcania Reinforcing, Vulcania Plastics and the Hope, Faith and Grace Community Centre for their unwavering support and contribution,” she said.
