Daggafontein Community Desk hosts career blitz

The career blitz is open to all Grades 11 and 12 learners in Springs and the surrounding areas.

The Daggafontein Community Desk (DCD) will host its first Community Career Blitz on July 21 at the Daggafontein sports field.

The Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) and the Gauteng Province Social Development (DSD) will collaborate on the event.

The blitz is open to all Grade 11 and 12 learners in Springs and surrounding areas. Learners will be helped with applications for admission into tertiary institutions and NSFAS applications.

Ofentse Rakhudu, responsible for public relations and marketing at the DCD, said they look forward to the collaboration because it strengthened their relationships with all the stakeholders developing the Daggafontein community.

“We spent the past year knocking on doors to get this opportunity. It is great that we can give the youth from Daggafontein such opportunities,” said Rakhudu.

The career blitz will start at 11:00.
