Jump-Aholics SA hosted a fundraiser for Uniquely Me on Saturday morning in Petersfield.

“It was such a successful and heart-warming event. We are grateful for the support and people opening their hearts to Uniquely Me.

“We met so many new people who want to get involved. We are truly blessed,” said Claudia Wilkinson, one of the organisers.
Rebound instructor at Jump-Aholics SA, Roazanne Viljoen, said she was excited to be part of the initiative.

“Rebounding is beneficial for everyone. It is amazing how working out with other people will help you not only lose weight but improve your self-confidence.

“It is endless fun,” she added.

The rebound event, themed fairytale, was aimed at raising funds for the Uniquely Me pageant planned for September. They use the funds to buy aid for participants with different physical disabilities.

Established in 2018 by Debbie Oberholster, Uniquely Me gives children living with disabilities the platform to showcase their talents.

“This year focus on skills development. So many people who have disabilities do not have much to do after they finish school. They deserve more than staying at home when they want to contribute to the community,” explained Oberholster.

The pageant will take place on September 2 at the civic centre. Purchase your tickets from Oberholster.
