A Springs resident reported that two men robbed him of a large sum of cash inside a bank on 5th Avenue on Wednesday.
“While standing in the queue, the robbers approached him and attempted to search him. He refused but one of the men pointed to a pistol underneath his clothing. The victim was also told to look down,” explained Sergeant Themba Tshabalala, communications officer at the Springs Police Station.
The men searched the victim and took his money, almost R250 000, from his pockets.
The robbers then walked out of the bank, where they met another man and fled the scene.
