Matric results: easy ways to get your marks

It's as easy as 1, 2, 3... submit your exam number via SMS/USSD code and get your results as soon as they are released on Friday.

The matric results are in and Caxton Local Media has a simple way for you to access your results as soon as they are made public.

On Friday, the matric class of 2022 will receive their National Senior Certificate examination results.

Learners will be able to access their results online from 06:00 or collect them from their school from 08:00, except in the Western Cape, where results will only be available after 16:00 on the day.

Here’s how to get your results ASAP. Before you get started, note that you may only submit your exam number via one single cellphone number to receive results via this service, as per the Department of Education’s guidelines.

This service only applies to the Department of Education’s National Senior Certificate examinations, and not to Independent Examinations Board results.

1. Get your exam number and cellphone
You will only be able to gain access to your results using your exam number.

2. SMS or use the USSD code
SMS your exam number to 35658, after which you will receive reminders and USSD instructions to follow to gain access to your results after 06:00 (or 16:00 for students in the Western Cape) on Friday.

SMSes are charged at R1.50 each. Free SMSes do not apply. Alternatively, dial the USSD code *120*35658#.

You will then receive further instructions to gain access to your results after 06:00 (or 16:00 for students in the Western Cape) on Friday, January 21.

Take note, people who submit their personal information via the delivery methods mentioned above thereby give consent for their personal information to be processed for the purpose of communicating their examination results. Any person who communicates personal information as per these clauses guarantees that they are legally authorised to do so.
