2023 promises to be a good year for MachKnitz

MachKnitZ invites all knitters to join their weekly workshops.

As the year starts in high spirits, so is local knitting NPO MachKnitz. MachKnitz specialises in knitting using electric and manual knitting machines.

Founder of the NPO Adri Grib says some of their plans for the year are continuing with weekly classes and social get-togethers for those interested.

“When our knitters get together, we teach each other new knitting tips and tricks,” said Adri.

“This also allows us to meet new people with common interests.”

On Saturdays, MachKnitz hosts boot sales to allow locals to make extra income by selling their homemade goodies.

MachKnitz is also looking forward to its second annual fashion show, which promises to be exciting.

“This time our fashion show will be to raise funds for those in need from local charities and the SPCA,” said Adri.

“The categories that will be showcased this year are babies, teenagers, senior citizens and dog wear.”

Part of the plans for the local NPO is to introduce a children’s workshop where they can learn pastry and icing.
