Refined Raconteurs Toastmasters will be holding an open house meeting at Impala Platinum HRD at 18:00 for 18:30. People interested in improving their communication and leadership skills are welcome to attend at no cost. Guests are most welcome. Join the Springs SPCA for their night run at the Springs Country Club at 18h00. Please note that you will require a torch or headlamp as you will be running on the fairways of the golf course.

Hope, Faith and Grace Community Project is hosting a golf day to be hosted at the Pollak Park Golf Club. Tee-off will start at 10:00 and the prize-giving is at 18:00. To enquire, register or book, contact Kerry 072 177 0489 or Rodney 083 200 2903

• 29 October
The SANBS will be hosting a blood drive at the Strubenvale Pharmacy parking area. The drive will start at 09:00 and end at 16:00.

• 29 October
The Selcourt Methodist Church will be having a car wash. The initiative, whose proceeds will go towards family outreach, will start at 10:00 and end at 14:00. A basic wash is R60, and a superwash is R100. For more information or to pre-book tickets, contact Sedi Thato on 064 549 7360.

• 17 November
Solidariteit Helpende Hand bied ‘n gholfdag aan ten bate van die organisasie se Oos-Randse takke. Dit vind by die State Mines Country Klub in Brakpan plaas. Die prys van ‘n vierbalfooibeloop R3 500.

Hospice East Rand’s Candles of Remembrance ceremony will be hosted virtually at 17h00. A link to the event will be shared on their website and Facebook page closer to the time.
