Councillor leads War Memorial clean-up

Ward 75 Clr Charmaine Kock is appealing to the community to join them on October 22 in bringing the Springs War Memorial to its former glory.

Ward 75 Clr Charmaine Kock, together with coalition partners, various organisations, local businesses and churches, will be taking part in a clean-up campaign at the Springs War Memorial on October 22.

With this clean-up campaign, Kock hopes to restore the once-beautiful heritage site to its former glory.

“My drive behind the clean-up is the promise I made when I was appointed as a councillor. I intend on staying committed to the community.”

“We are in urgent need of refuse bags, bush-cutters, petrol lawnmowers, pruning shears, spades, brooms and refreshments.”

“We are also asking for assistance with things that we can use to beautify the museum, such as seedlings or flowers,” she says.

Kock appeals to the community to join them on the project.

Anyone who would like to assist with any of the above-mentioned items should contact Kock at 079 838 8506.
