The Eastern Gauteng Chamber of Commerce and Industry hosted its fundraiser golf day on October 13.
The event was held at Pollak Park Golf Course. It was an event planned and executed to raise much-needed funds for the chamber for its continued operation and day-to-day running costs. Local companies and members of the chamber could sponsor holes and also register teams to play.
“The chamber relies heavily on donors to cover costs such as the rental of the property and salaries. Events and membership fees help with some of these expenses, but it is never enough.
“That is why we are hosting the golf day. It is a great networking opportunity for our members and a fun way to raise funds,” said the chamber’s general manager Barbara-Ann Day.
There were watering tents where snacks and beverages were offered to the golfers. The event ended with an awards ceremony.
