Hope, Faith and Grace to host first golf day

Hope, Faith, and Grace Community Centre will be raising funds for the centre's youth in need.

Preparations are in order as the Hope, Faith, and Grace Community Centre awaits its first fundraising golf day which will be held at Pollak Park Golf Club on October 21.

Kerry-Leigh Wright, a founder of the centre, says the golf day fundraising event aims to assist the centre’s youth who will be entering the working industry.

“Proceeds from the fundraising will help the youths’ travel expenses,” she explains.

Kerry-Leigh says through the fundraising they are hoping to network and gain potential sponsors who may be able to help them with the centre’s monthly fees, such as salaries, fuel, water and lights.

“We are excited about the preparations. We are aiming high to entertain everyone who attends, and we are very positive that our guests will have something to talk about,” says Kerry-Leigh.

Although things are looking up, she says they have encountered a few challenges along the way. They remain hopeful that the day will be a great success.

“We would like more support from our community to join us in making our fundraising a success.”
