A 37-year-old man was arrested after he was found in possession of drugs, on the N12 Etwatwa offramp, on Thursday afternoon.

“The SAPS narcotic unit received information about the motor vehicle coming from Mozambique to South Africa carrying illegal drugs.
“They responded swiftly, tracking down a white Ford Ranger on the N12.
“The suspect was found in possession of suspected drugs to the street value of about R17m.
“He was arrested on the scene,” explained Sergeant Themba Tshabalala, communications officer of Springs SAPS.
The station commander, Brigadier Thembeka Gwebushe, applauded the members for a quick response in combating crime and bringing the perpetrator to book.
