Alberton SAPS urges community members to check all their car doors.
According to Capt Manare Ramotshela spokesperson of Alberton SAPS, while or before closing your car, criminals will open one of your car doors.

“If you use the new technology of closing your car, manually close your door. Those driving in big cities should beware of criminals. You will use your remote and think it is closed. You will leave it and do your shopping. At a later stage, you will realise that something is wrong in your car or you may even find that the car itself is nowhere to be found,” he said.
“Criminals take advantage of situations and are checking victims’ movements.
“I would also like to thank those who brought information to our members and assisted in bringing those who are at fault behind bars. We have had a lot of arrests with the help of our community,” said Ramotshela.
