Tambo Babies Boksburg recently opened its heart to Far East Rand Hospital and various children's homes.

Tambo Babies Boksburg recently opened its heart to Far East Rand Hospital and various children’s homes.
According to Tina Moolman, of the project, doula Tracy Hanna handed over 300 babygrows to the hospital on February 13 and suitcases to children’s homes, such as Nyeleti Children’s Home, on March 8 on behalf of Tambo Babies.

The suitcases contain items such as stationery, toys, clothing and puzzles.
Tina expressed her gratitude to Rose Snedker, from the UK, and the Netherlands Support Orphans in South Africa for making the donations possible.

She explained Tambo Babies used to make donations to Tambo Hospital every second week, but due to Covid-19, they were not allowed to do so.
Tambo Babies was launched by deacon Barbara Morrison in 2013 when she heard the plight of newborn babies being discharged from hospitals wrapped in newspapers and bin bags.
“We now donate items as we receive them. We’re just grateful to get the items to babies in need.”
The organisation requires baby leggings, blankets and babygrows.
