Epilepsy centre humbled by generous donations

The donated items will make a remarkable difference in the lives of the centre's residents.

Epilepsy South Africa Daggafontein recently received a donation of 75 mattresses from local companies, including Rand Water, as well as laptops.
Centre manager Annadien Scholtz said when they received the donations from the companies it warmed their hearts.
“When receiving something so sincerely needed, one becomes humble. This is a gift that will change the care of 75 residents who are already challenged in life,” said Scholtz.
She said the NGO manages everyday challenges with the vision of making a difference in people’s lives.

“Since we started upgrading the rooms, we are giving thanks to all the organisations that contributed by donating to us. It is a blessing,” she said.
They also received mats to protect the mattresses, as the beds have springs.
“Last year, Rand Water came to our NGO to donate. They painted 11 rooms and installed wardrobes,” said Scholtz.
She said they are thankful for everything they have been given and hope they give to other NGOs that are also trying to get back up since the pandemic started.
