Overgrown grass in Daggafontein has reached heights residents feel pose a danger.
Maggi Pretorius, who lives in Woodpecker Street, was almost involved in an accident due to the long grass obscuring her view when turning at an intersection.
Pretorius has to drive more than halfway into the road before she can see the oncoming lane.
“One day there’s going to be a big accident here,” she said.

Residents also feel the long grass provides a hiding place for criminals.
One house is in the process of being taken apart brick by brick, and residents believe it has become a den for criminals.
The house cannot be seen from the road due to the long grass, further adding to their worries.
