SAPS launches Junior Management Core concept

The JMC concept has already been rolled out across the province.

The Gauteng SAPS recently launched the Junior Management Core (JMC) concept and introduced its newly elected executive committee.
Amanda van Wyk, Gauteng SAPS spokesperson, said deputy provincial commissioner of support services Maj-Gen Patricia Rampota, accompanied by senior SAPS officers, led the official launch of the Gauteng JMC in Strubenvale.

Various SAPS members were in attendance.

“The national commissioner of the SAPS, Gen Khehla Sitole, approved the implementation of the JMC concept during the 2018/2019 financial year.
“The JMC concept is participative management aimed at involving junior members from the level of constable to captain, as well as civilian members in decision-making platforms.

“JMC will also create opportunities for innovative thinking, information sharing, leadership development and improving employee participation in the realisation of the organisation’s objectives,” she said.
The JMC concept has already been rolled out across the province.
