Robbers casually walk into Dersley Park home

The Dersley Park resident was sitting in his bedroom while his sister was washing dishes in the kitchen.

A man and his family were relaxing on Friday night when two men made their way inside the house and stole their belongings.

“The kitchen and security doors were not locked.”
The man was surprised to see an intruder wearing a mask and a green overall entering his room.

“The intruder had a gun,” explained Capt Johannes Ramphora, communications officer of Springs SAPS.
The victim claimed that there was a tablet and a cellphone in the room, which the man took.
“The victim could hide his cellphone under the mattress. A second suspect emerged, and the two went to another bedroom where they took two laptops and two blankets from the wardrobe.
“The victim also noticed that a TV was missing,” added Ramphora.
The value of the stolen property is estimated to be R22 000.
