Highway patrol SAPS recovers counterfeit goods

The officers spotted a suspicious-looking white Toyota Quantum.

 

 police officers patrolling along the N12 freeway in the early hours of Friday morning recovered counterfeit goods.
The officers spotted a suspicious-looking white Toyota Quantum.
“They tried to stop the kombi but the driver sped off to the off-ramp. The officers pursued them and the kombi then headed into a nearby warehouse.
“The driver and two men jumped out of the vehicle and ran away,” said Capt Johannes Ramphora of the police station.

Inside the kombi, the officers recovered counterfeit Nike tekkies. The kombi was taken to Springs SAPS for storage.
The Springs station commander, Brig Thembeka Gwebushe, applauded the members for their commitment to being more visible, especially at night along the N12 to curb criminality on the freeway.
