A Dersley Park man was shot at by intruders as he investigated why his dogs were barking in the early hours of Friday morning.
“He went outside to investigate and was attacked by an unknown man armed with a gun. The victim claims the intruder tried to shoot him twice, but the gun misfired,” explained Capt Johannes Ramphora, communications officer of Springs SAPS.

The victim then ran back to the house but slipped and fell.
“He then saw two more men. He was assaulted with the gun and sustained injuries to his head. He was treated at hospital,” added Ramphora.
