CPF chairperson looking for uniform donations

“I am happy that the community is responding but they can do much better. My wish is to fill my van and make every child from different schools happy."

Chairperson of the Wright Park CPF Arles Baloyi is on a mission to collect uniforms for learners in need.
“I have been going around to residents collecting uniforms in a good state. We have noticed that some children’s uniforms are not in good condition and parents cannot afford to buy them new uniforms,” Baloyi said.
He said most parents are still trying to pick up from their financial constraints after the pandemic that has affected everyone.
“After my cry for help, I was fortunate enough to find parents who had uniforms their children used while they were in school. Most parents didn’t know what to do and some almost burnt them. They have responded well by donating the uniforms,” he said.

At first, he wanted uniforms for a specific school but around the community, he found that children in the area attend different schools. Most parents asked if he had uniforms for specific schools, which is when he decided to collect for all.
“I am happy that the community is responding but they can do much better. My wish is to fill my van and make every child from different schools happy. I am planning to collect as much as I can. I wish all in the community will respond and assist because this will motivate learners to go to school,” he said.
