Slovo Park man hijacked

The victim claimed he went to buy cigarettes at the nearest spaza shop and found that it was closed.

A 26-year-old man was hijacked of his Toyota Hilux in Slovo Park in the early hours of Friday morning.
The victim claimed he went to buy cigarettes at the nearest spaza shop and found that it was closed.
“He went to ask them to open up for him. He left the car key in the ignition,” explained Capt Johannes Ramphora, communications officer of the Springs SAPS.

The victim was then approached by a man who started a conversation.
“Suddenly, four other men appeared and one took the key from the ignition. The other man also got into the car and they drove off,” he added.
The value of the car is estimated at R150 000.
