The City of Ekurhuleni said electricity supply interruptions will continue between 08:00 on Thursday to 20:00 on Friday.
“The supply interruption is due to ongoing work to replace the mini-substation supplying power to parts of Springs CBD which started on January 13,” explained Zweli Dlamini the metro’s spokesperson.

The following roads will be closed during the above-mentioned period until January 23:
• Portion of the Springs CBD
• Corner 5th Avenue and 2nd Street
• Corner 4th Avenue and 2nd Street
Customers are urged to treat all electrical networks and connected equipment as live at all times.
