Springs fighter needs funds for international tournament

Kickboxing and muay thai were the first styles he learned, but soon grappling and jiu-jitsu became his speciality.

Local MMA fighter Nathan Komane has come a long way in his career and aims to one day be crowned a world champion.
Komane’s love for martial arts was ignited by the Dragon Ball Z TV show, where he adopted the name Kakarot.
Eager to hone his skills and show them to the world, Komane joined JP Kruger at the House of Tinkerbell MMA and Martial Arts Academy on Nigel Road.
Kickboxing and muay thai were the first styles he learned, but soon grappling and jiu-jitsu became his specialty.
A passion for martial arts and competing have become the driving force behind his career and he works hard to eliminate any weak sections of his style to become the best fighter he can possibly be.

Komane showed a dominant performance at the previous Versus 2 event.
He now has his sights sets on the Versus 3, which will be held in Pretoria later in the year.
Although Komane has received numerous offers from professional promotions, he has decided his sole aim is to win the world amateur title, which will be held in Abu Dhabi in February.
He has already been selected to represent the South African team but needs to the raise the money to get there.
Jimmy James and other members of House of Tinkerbell have urged any local businesses willing to help Komane to contact ProLeague Fight management on 011 362 2569 or send them a message on Facebook or Instagram.
