Springs resident hijacked in Slovo Park

Springs resident Siphondo Camagu (19) was hijacked of his silver Corsa recently in Libye Street in Slovo Park.
It is alleged the victim was sitting with his friend in his Corsa when a white VW Polo stopped in front of them with four male occupants.
Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora said the occupants from the Polo got out of their car and threatened the friends with a gun, demanding their car keys.

“One of the suspects pulled the car keys from the ignition. The victim’s friend jumped out of the car to run for safety. The suspects searched the complainant but couldn’t find anything on him.
“Fortunately, the complainant was able to run to the nearby bushes for safety. While in hiding, he saw the suspects driving off in his vehicle,” he explained.
Ramphora added there were no shots fired or injuries sustained.
No one has been arrested but investigations are still underway.
