Guards tied up during robbery at Van Zyl Pump Substation

There were no shots fired or injuries reported.

Police are investigating a case of robbery after a group of 15 men recently forced entry into the Van Zyl Pump Substation, where two security guards were on duty.
The robbers pointed firearms at the security guards and went on to tie them up in the guardroom.

Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora said they stole a water pump motor, cables, generator parts and four cellphones.
There were no shots fired or injuries reported.
Ramphora added no one was arrested and they are calling on anyone who might have information about the whereabouts of the perpetrators to come forward.
