Broken or stolen wheelie bin? Collect a new one at the depot

Customers coming to collect their new 240L wheelie bins need to bring along their original identity document and the municipal account statement.

The City of Ekurhuleni requests residents whose 240L wheelie bins are broken or stolen to collect new bins at the nearest waste management depot.
Upon collection of the new 240L wheelie bin, residents will be required to produce proof of a stolen bin by means of an affidavit acquired at the police station, and those with broken bins will have to bring them to the depot in exchange for a new one.

“We would like to thank our customers for their patience during a time when we had challenges with the procurement of the 240L wheelie bins stock. We have enough stock available at our depots now; therefore, we are calling on all who have stolen or broken 240L wheelie bins to collect new ones at the city’s waste management depot near them,” said MMC for Environment Resources and Waste Management Services, Ald Makhosazana Mabaso.
