Selcourt man robbed at home

The victim alleges that he was asleep in the outside room of his home when he heard a noise outside.

A Selcourt resident was robbed at gunpoint on Friday afternoon.
“The victim alleges that he was asleep in the outside room of his home when he heard a noise outside.
“It is alleged that he went outside to check and was confronted by four men armed with guns. They ordered him back into the room,” explained Capt Johannes Ramphora, communications officer at the Springs Police Station.

After the gunmen ransacked the house, they drove away in a white BMW, which was parked inside the yard.
“After they left, the victim went into the main house and found the kitchen door, as well as two bedrooms doors were broken open.
“A 55cm TV and an iPad were stolen,” added Ramphora.
