Dancers obtain Gauteng colours

Dancesport Team has recently given many young dancers the opportunity to develop their talents and showcase them to the world.
Many Springs dancers showcased their talents earlier in the year at the event, representing themselves and their schools to the best of their abilities.
There are 15 dance styles and disciplines on which the judges determine talent.
These include Bollywood, lyrical, African, chacha, samba, paso, jive, contemporary, jazz, ballet, modern and all street styles.
The following dancers achieved their Gauteng colours:

Buckingham Academy:

• Botshelo Mpye (9),

• Tsebo Gwangwa (9),

• Tshepi Baholo (9),

• Kgotso Komako (10),

• Oratile Mapailo (11),

• Azande Sibane (11),

• Sandile Junior Mashiyane (11),

• Thato Mkhuma (11),

• Thabile Ntuli (15) and

• Rato Mdawe (12).

Laerskool Jan van Riebeeck:

• Yana Snyman (13) and 

• Niané Smith (11).

Hoërskool Hugenote:

• Vanessa Sonnen (15) and

• Nicole Potgieter (17).

Niané Smith, Botshelo Mpye, Azande Sibane, Oratile Mapailo, Yana Snyman, Vanessa Sonnen, Nicole Potgieter, Sandile jr Mashiyane, Kgotso Komako and Thato Mkhuma all secured their places in the provincial tournament.
Springs coach Mignonette Coetzee is proud of how her dancers performed.
