Springs police dress up for Heritage Day

Traditional food was cooked and served for all to enjoy, including mielie pap and boerewors.

Springs police celebrated Heritage Day on Thursday afternoon at the swimming pool and lapa area behind the station.
Members were proud and eager to celebrate the diverse cultures that make up their ranks with various displays, including Boer, Tswana and Ndebele memorabilia and attire.
Various officers gave speeches and cultural music was played in celebration of the day.

Const Martin Foreman, Natasha du Preez and Capt Trudeen Burger dressed in traditional Ndebele attire.

Traditional food was cooked and served for all to enjoy, including pap and boerewors.
“We are here today to celebrate the cultures represented at the station. It’s nice to see everyone get dressed up and enjoy the day,” said Sgt Kgomotso Ralesenyeho.
