Son to rot in jail after killing father

Last Wednesday, the Palm Ridge High Court sentenced Henning to life in prison for the murder, six years for fraud, seven years for theft of motor vehicle and seven years for defeating the ends of justice.

John Henning was sentenced to life in prison for the 2018 murder of his father, Andréi Kleinman.
Kleinman (56) was found dead in Pollak Park and police initially struggled to find his killers.
However, Det Skhalo Mosoeu was determined and his perseverance paid off.
It emerged that Henning and Kleinman’s girlfriend had planned to kill him to collect life insurance payouts.
After his daughter-in-law turned State witness, it emerged the pair drugged and assaulted Kleinman leading to his death.

The sentences will not be served concurrently.
Springs police spokesperson Capt Johannes Ramphora was pleased by the outcome.
“Mosoeu went the extra mile to solve this case, as it had gone cold. We are very happy with the sentence handed down today and hope it will serve as a deterrent to others planning on committing crime.
“As police, we do our best to investigate cases and prosecute offenders,” said Ramphora.
His co-accused, who had resigned from her job and was planning on fleeing to Australia at the time of her arrest, is due back in court on November 15.
