A man was lucky to escape serious injury after he was struck with a glass bottle during a hijacking last Sunday morning in Struisbult.
The man told the police he was parked in front of his gate along Lewerik Street speaking to a friend when they noticed two men.

He was suddenly struck on his head with a bottle and lost consciousness.
When he regained consciousness, he noticed his car, a blue Nissan Juke with registration CM76HLGP, was gone.
He then called his wife and asked her to call the tracking company. The car was later found abandoned on Van Den Bosch Street in East Geduld.
