Crime stats reveal worrying trend

The stats are for the second quarter of the year, from April to June and include the 17 community reported crimes and crimes dependent on police action for detection.

Keep your valuables locked away, make sure your business is secure and do your due diligence before doing business with anyone in Springs.
This warning comes after the release of the quarterly crime stats by Minister of Police Bheki Cele, last Friday.
The stats are for the second quarter of the year, from April to June and include 17 community reported crimes and crimes dependent on police action for detection.
Simply put, the 17 community reported crimes should decrease to show an improvement in the crime situation in the country, while crimes dependent on police action for detection should increase to show more effective policing.
Overall for the second quarter of the year, there was an increase in the number of reported crimes across the country.
