Rotary, Springs Mall and others donate to Vita Nova

The donations included toiletries, face cloths, nappies and clothing.

The Vita Nova Centre has enjoyed a good August so far, receiving many donations from various parties.
The residential facility is an NPO and caters to physically and mentally challenged people.
Over the years, it has faced challenges in raising funds and keeping its facilities stocked with necessary items, such as soap, toothpaste, clothes and blankets.

However, it has always been able to count on Springsites and people from other parts of the country to give them a helping hand during the difficult months.
Alstom Ubunye, a railway company in Nigel, visited the organisation in early August and donated a blanket and two socks to each resident.
The Springs Rotary Club and the Springs Mall worked together and placed donation stations at the Checkers and Pick n Pay stores.

Blankets and clothes will help keep the residents warm for the rest of the winter.

The donations included toiletries, face cloths, nappies and clothing.
“Thank you all for your generosity and kindness as part of the Mandela Day Drive,” said the director of Vita Nova Michelle Immelman.

Essential items such as toothpaste and other toiletries will go a long way to help the residents at the centre.
