Victim shot twice during attempted hijacking in Springs CBD

The victim was hit on his right arm and left leg but he did not stop until he reached the Springs Police Station where he was assisted.

A 43-year-old Enstra man is lucky to be alive after he was shot twice during a hijacking on the corner of Third Street and Third Avenue in the CBD, last Sunday morning.
The victim told police he was dropping off a passenger at the address at approximately 07:30 when he was confronted by two hijackers who ordered him to get out of his car.
Realising he was being hijacked, the man sped off and one of the hijackers pulled out a 9mm pistol and shot twice at the victim.

The victim was hit in his right arm and left leg but he did not stop until he reached the Springs Police Station where he was assisted.
He was later transported to the Far East Rand Hospital via ambulance.
Bystanders at the scene later brought two cartridges that were left on the scene. A case of attempted murder will be opened.
The victim was driving a maroon Kia Rio with the registration HZ73NYGP at the time of the incident.
