Boy (10) burned to death in Daggafontein informal settlement
He was declared dead on scene by paramedics.
A 10-year-old boy died during a shack fire in the Daggafontein informal settlement last Tuesday evening.
The boy’s father told police he and his wife were sleeping when they were awakened by the blaze and ran outside.
Once they were outside they noticed their son was not with them and tried to go back inside.

The fire department later arrived and extinguished the flames.
The child was found in his bed and declared dead on scene by paramedics.
The police have opened an inquest docket.
