Woman left battered and bruised after Endicott home invasion

The men took the victim’s TV and tablet, valued at R10 000.

A 54-year-old Endicott woman was assaulted during a robbery at her home in the early hours of last Thursday morning.
The woman told police she was awakened by the sound of someone banging on her bedroom door.
She tried to escape through her bedroom window when two men suddenly appeared at the window.
One of the men tried to grab her through the window, while his accomplice hit her over the head and face with a pole.

She managed to pull herself back into the bedroom and ran out of the house through the kitchen door, which the men had used earlier to gain access to the house.
The woman then ran to her neighbour for help.
Once the robbers had fled, she discovered her 32-inch TV and tablet were missing.
The value of the stolen items is R10 000. The woman’s left cheek was badly bruised after the incident.
