Pollak Park Golf Club holds annual Winter Club Championship

Evan MacKenzie took first place with an impressive 145.

The Pollak Park Golf Club held their centenary Winter Club Championship over the weekend.
It was their most successful championships, as 110 players took part in the hopes of being crowned the best of the best.
Winner of the centenary edition of the club champs was Evan MacKenzie, who took first place with an impressive 145.
Speaking after accepting the trophy, MacKenzie said he had fulfilled an item on his bucket list by winning the club champs, as he had won a major competition at the club every decade he had been a member.

“The talking after winning is the most difficult part. The course had grown and its thanks to the staff here and the work they do behind the scenes.
“I also have to thank the older members of the club who keep it alive and give us competition,” said MacKenzie.
