St Catherine’s Nursery School in Selcourt and Strubenvale Primary School have decided to join forces to help the needy of Springs.
This demonstration of charity is in celebration of Nelson Mandela Day, which is observed on July 18.

According to Geduld Methodist Church pastor Jonathan Coates, a request was sent to these schools to encourage learners to donate tinned food and other non-perishable items.
“The response we received from the schools was outstanding. The food will be distributed by volunteers of Springs Care under the auspices of the Geduld Methodist Church,” said Coates.
