Driver hijacked on the N12 by five men

In addition to the victim’s VW Polo GTI, the men also took his cellphone and wallet, which had R350 inside.

A Sunnyside man was abandoned in Booysen after he was hijacked by five men on Paul Kruger Highway last Friday afternoon.
The victim told police he had just driven through the Paul Kruger and South Main Reef Road intersection when he was stopped by a white Toyota Corolla with four men inside.
They apparently flashed their lights at him to indicate he should stop.
Once he had pulled over on the side of the road, the driver of the Toyota approached the victim and introduced himself as a police officer.

While speaking to the victim, he suddenly grabbed his keys out of the ignition.
Once he had the keys, his four accomplices joined him and together they pushed the victim into the back of his car and four men got into the car before driving off.
They then drove around with the victim to different areas, at some point putting him in another car.
While they were driving around, the men forced the victim to transfer R10 000 to different cellphone numbers, before eventually dumping him in a place he wasn’t familiar with.
