Driver hijacked in Geduld

The victim alleged he parked his car, a maroon Mercedes-Benz, at his relative's house.

A 54-year-old man from Vosloorus was hijacked in Geduld on Wednesday.
The victim alleged he parked his car, a maroon Mercedes-Benz, at his relative’s house just before 16:00.
According to Capt Johaness Ramphora of Springs SAPS, the victim was then approached by three armed men.
“They ordered him to get into the back seat, while they pointed guns at him. The suspects then got into the car with the victim,” he explained.

Along the way, the car stopped along a quiet street and the victim was ordered to get into the boot of another car.
“’After a while on the road, he was told to get out and not look at the suspects,” said Ramphora.
The hijackers then drove off.
The victim realised he was near the Gelukdal Caltex Garage, where he sought help and the Tsakani SAPS was called.
