Geduld shop owner locked inside storeroom during robbery

The shop owner told police he was behind the counter when a man came in and asked for cigarettes.

Four men robbed a Geduld shop on Friday morning and locked the shop owner in the storeroom.
The shop owner told police he was behind the counter when a man came in and asked for cigarettes.
While helping him, three men, all armed with guns, walked into the shop and pointed guns at the shop owner and his employee.
They instructed the pair to go into the storeroom where they locked them in.

The men then ransacked the shop and took R7 000 from the till, three TVs, four cellphones and an undetermined amount of cigarettes, before fleeing.
CCTV showed the men fleeing in a white Ford Bantam bakkie with the registration PKC263GP.
No shots were fired during the robbery and no injuries were reported.
