Aldermanship bestowed on local councillors

These titles are obtained through points given for every year as a councillor and positions held at the municipality.

Local ward councillors Ramesh Sheodin and Dean Stone were awarded the title of Aldermanship on May 27 at a council meeting.
The Alderman title is kept by a councillor for life and indicates their long and distinguished service as a councillor.

These titles are obtained through points given for every year as a councillor and positions held at the municipality.
“The points are calculated from the first democratic local government elections in November 1995 to the present,” said Sheodin.
